Lisa (Gonzalez) Lytle, Head Women's Soccer Coach
Before accepting a coaching position at South Georgia State College, Lisa (Gonzalez) Lytle aka "Gonzo", was the Head Girl's Soccer Coach at Jeff Davis High School in Hazlehurst, GA. During her six year tenure at Jeff Davis High School, she lead her team to their first ever Georgia State ranking, the Georgia State Playoffs, and a Region Championship in 2022 with an undefeated regular season and a final record of 20-1. Her team finished with a berth in the Sweet 16 (GA) in 2021, Elite 8 (GA) during the 2022 season, and another Sweet 16 (GA) in 2023. She was voted Georgia Athletic Coaches Association Coach of the Year 2022, and All-Region Coach of the Year in 2022. She also was asked to coach at the Georgia DiVarsity All-Star Game, and was with the DiVarsity's 2022 2AA Coach of the Year.
Coach Gonzo's collegiate soccer career/history ranges from NJCAA's Navarro College (TX), to NCAA D1 Stephen F. Austin State University (TX), and finishing out her college soccer career at NCAA D2 Angelo State University (TX). At Navarro, Coach Gonzo made 3 NJCAA National Appearances, and was on the All- Region Academic Team. She holds a bachelors degree in Kinesiology, minor in psychology, and a Masters degree in CSRF (Coaching, Sports, Recreation and Fitness Management) from Angelo State University, where she also held a Graduate Assistant Coaching position.
Coach Gonzo still currently lives in Hazlehurst with her Husband (Jacob), their 2 1/2 year old son (Barrett), and their two Boykin Spaniels (River and Goose).
