Strategic Plan 2029

A Renewed Vision for Student Success and Institutional Growth

South Georgia State College (SGSC) is launching a bold new chapter with the 2024–2029 Strategic Plan—an ambitious roadmap designed to elevate student achievement, strengthen institutional effectiveness, and expand regional impact. This plan reflects a renewed commitment to SGSC’s mission of delivering affordable, high-quality education while preparing students to meet the demands of a dynamic workforce and an ever-evolving society.

Informed by extensive research, stakeholder input, and performance analysis, the new strategic plan outlines clear goals and measurable outcomes that will drive progress over the next five years. Central to this effort are six Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that reflect SGSC’s priorities in retention, graduation, degree completion, transfer success, and licensure pass rates. These benchmarks serve as guiding metrics for institutional growth and student success, ensuring that every initiative is rooted in accountability and purpose. With an updated mission and vision, SGSC is focused on transforming challenges into opportunities—expanding access, deepening student engagement, and fostering long-term sustainability across its campuses and communities.
