SACSCOC Reaffirmation of Accreditation 2026

In preparation for South Georgia State College's upcoming Reaffirmation of Accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) in 2026, the Offices of Academic Affairs & Student Affairs and Institutional Effectiveness launched this SACSCOC web page where faculty, staff, and students can find information about our reaffirmation process and timely updates. This site will be updated regularly with important resources and information related to the SACSCOC reaffirmation process to keep you up to date on our efforts.

Accreditation is intended to reassure constituents and the general public about the quality and integrity of higher education institutions and programs and assist those institutions and programs in improving. These results are obtained through rigorous internal and external review processes that assess the institution against a common set of standards.

Accreditation by SACSCOC is a statement of the institution's continuing commitment to integrity and its capacity to provide effective programs and services based on agreed-upon accreditation standards.
