Mission: To provide short term counseling and support services to meet
the personal, social, and educational needs of students enrolled at SGSC
Confidentiality: All written and verbal information given during
counseling sessions will not be released to family, friends, faculty or
others without the student’s written permission. The law requires
limitations to counselor confidentiality when a person poses an imminent
danger to themselves or others; any knowledge of physical abuse, sexual
abuse, or neglect of a child or an elderly person be reported to
authorities; court ordered subpoenas. Your counseling records will not be
tied with your academic records.
