On July 1, 2007, ABL Management of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, moved into the kitchen of the Engram College Union to begin serving tasty, high quality cuisine to the growing resident population of South Georgia College and the hungry faculty, staff, students, and visitors who are on the campus daily. ABL Management was formed in 1986 by a group of food service professionals with more than a hundred combined years of food service experience. The owners and executives of the company had worked at all levels in food service from assistant director through top management of several national companies. Company representatives have guaranteed that ABL Management is committed to a quality food service program that will fully enrich the lives of students, faculty, staff, and the administration of South Georgia College. We, too, feel that that they understand the needs of South Georgia College and will provide SGC with great customer service and a quality food service program that will always make us proud. Student diners will be able to select from three meal plan options to suit individual needs including a new offering, brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Students will be provided with weekly monotony breakers, monthly theme meals, special entrees, and a nutritional awareness program. As always, the community is invited to drop in and try any of the daily offerings served cafeteria style. Total event planning is also available from ABL’s experienced and capable staff using the various spaces available on campus. The banquet service promises to produce successful affairs that will be long remembered and cherished by guests. Until then, events may be booked through the Facilities Office at 912.260.4272 or call ABL at 912.260.4525.
