Foundation Scholarships can be used in addition to other state and federal financial aid. All students applying for scholarships must also complete the federal financial aid application, available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Scholarship applications are available from Financial Aid, and applicants are considered for all scholarships for which they are qualified. Applications received by the priority deadline will be given first consideration. The following is a list of available scholarships:
Read this information carefully. This page contains information about every SGC Foundation scholarship now available. Read it carefully, and you’ll discover certain scholarships have specific awards criteria. If you match the criteria of one or more of these scholarships, be sure to tell us on your application. Otherwise, we’ll consider you for all the general interest scholarships, and may miss those with special awards criteria.
- Most scholarships can usually be renewed for another two semesters if you maintain a 3.0 grade point average at SGC. Scholarships cannot be awarded for more than four semesters of study.
- Even if you’re getting a HOPE scholarship or other financial aid, you’re still eligible to receive a SGC Foundation scholarship.
- Click here to obtain an
application form (pdf) or call Financial Aid to request an application.
- Finally, apply early; scholarships are awarded as long as financial resources are available.
