Joint Enrollment and Early Admissions
South Georgia College recognizes the need to provide academically talented high school students with opportunities for acceleration of their formal academic programs. This recognition has led to the development of two organized programs: (1) a joint enrollment program in which the students, while continuing his/her enrollment in high school, enrolls in courses for college credit, and (2) an early admission program in which the student enrolls as a full-time college student following the completion of the junior year in high school. Applicants for either of these programs must submit to the Director of Enrollment Services and Student Success, the following items:
- A completed enrollment application and a $20.00 non-refundable enrollment fee.
- A transcript of secondary school credits completed to date with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in academic subjects or a numerical average of 80 and evidence that the student is on track with the College Preparatory Curriculum.
- A record of scores on the Scholastic Aptitude Test with minimum combined score of 970 or a minimum composite score of 21 on the American College Testing Assessment. A 530 minimum SAT I verbal score (23 ACT) is required to take English/Social Science courses that also satisfy high school College Preparatory Curriculum requirements; for math courses, a 530 SAT I math score (22 ACT) is required.
