Strategic Planning and ResearchThe Division of Strategic Planning and Research supports South Georgia College and its mission to provide accessible, high quality student-centered education. The division continually assesses all function areas of the College and uses the results for the improvement of academic and support activities. The Instructional Effectiveness Plan for SGC describes the College’s mission, vision, and goals and objectives.
Institutional Research at South Georgia College works hand-in-hand with
Strategic Planning to collect and provide the data to support planning and
improvement functions. Data is collected internally as well as through the
University System of Georgia
Strategic Plan and also nationally through the
Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE) and
Integrated Postsecondary Education Data Systems (IPEDS). A comparison of
data for the past ten years can be found in the
SGC Fact Book.
