Capital Projects:
“Tiger Village” Privately Developed Student Housing
- Project is approximately 70% complete overall
- Drywall hanging complete; drywall finishing 75% complete
- Tubs and showers set in place
- Lobby framing complete and rear columns masonry going up
- HVAC rough-in complete except for lobby
- Insulation complete
- Roofing complete except for flashing, gutters and vent grates
- Electrical/data feeds pulled through all floors
- Site development 90% complete; paving complete except for service drive
and final surface on Brooks Road
Clower Hall
- Overall Project approximately 50% complete and on schedule for
completion late July ‘07.
- Floor repair 95% complete
- New addition in place and dried-in
- MEP rough-in complete
- Water Main tie-in complete
- Partition, office and snack bar framing complete
- Roof pavers being installed
Stubbs Hall Renovation/Addition
- Overall Project approximately 43% complete; scheduled completion October
or November ‘07
- Micro Lab, Anatomy Lab and Dr. Yeomans office relocated to Peterson Hall
- Interior walls in Phase I renovation in place and drywall installation
complete
- MEP rough-in complete for renovated area and suspended ceiling going in
- New addition walls in place; MEP rough-in 80% complete
- Exterior brick on new addition complete; exterior panels will cover
black area
- Windows being framed for installation and roof nearing completion
- Overall Project approximately 43% complete; scheduled completion October

- Floyd Hall, Replace HVAC Chiller; currently monitoring oil analysis
samples for further indication of bearing failure. Will require emergency
funding or reassignment of funds from other projects if replacement
required. Jun. ‘07
- Grounds and Landscaping, Replace Sidewalks. Complete unless DOC reverts
to previous labor policy
- Assist in developing Disaster Mitigation Plan (DMP) along with local
Emergency Management officials and GEMA specialists
Miscellaneous:
- Assist with preparations of grant applications and scope. Apr ’07 and
June ‘07
- Assist in development of an Emergency Operations Template for the USG
- Reviewing Golf Course development plan, target date Aug. ‘08
Notes:
Capital Projects are those that exceed one million dollars and usually refer
to projects funded through GSFIC bond sales. They are the only state funded
source for new construction.
MRR Projects are less than one million dollars in cost and are for repair,
replacement or restoration only. They cannot be used for new construction and
are segregated into regular and regulatory categories by definition. They can
be funded by bond sales or direct allotment from the state legislature.
Once a project in this report is shown as completed it will be removed from
following updates.
