Program AccessibilityThe Office of Disability Services (ODS) is administered through Academic Affairs at South Georgia College and seeks to assist disabled students in gaining equal access to all College programs. Students with disabilities, academic and/or physical, should report any accessibility problems to the ODS. New students with disabilities entering South Georgia College can access ODS by notifying the admissions office in writing of their needs for accommodations upon acceptance to the college. The admissions office will refer the students to the Office of Disabilities in Powell Hall Room 104. A Policy Manual of Disability Services and an Application for accommodations for Disabilities will be provided. When the student submits this application to the ODS, the student will be contacted and eligibility for services investigated. Students who are currently enrolled at SGC and have academic problems may also seek services by contacting the ODS and arranging an appointment. An interview will be scheduled and eligibility for services explored.
