The phrase "A Degree of Difference" has been adopted as the college's slogan,
to be used as a graphic design element and to portray the essence of South Georgia State College’s mission.

The common and consistent use of the South Georgia State College cupola, the clock
tower located atop Thrash Hall, and other design elements communicate a strong,
unified identity for South Georgia State College. The South Georgia State College cupola
depicts a highly recognized symbol among the majority of those who have attended
South Georgia State College.
The SGC cupola, a well-known symbol of the campus, is placed next to the name
of the college to create the institution’s logo. The logo is a public identifier
used on stationery, publications, web pages and other items representing South Georgia State College. It provides a clear and unified look to

For athletic and promotional products, SGC utilizes a tiger-themed logo to
