SGC Men’s Soccer Defeats Thomas J.V.

The South Georgia College men’s soccer team defeated the junior varsity squad from Thomas University 3-0 Sunday afternoon in Douglas. The win improves the Tigers’ record to 4-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play.

Three Tigers found the back of the net one time each: Lloyd Matthews, Alloy Buckle and Roulf Aladin. The win was SGC’s third in a row. The Tigers are tied with Georgia Perimeter in second place in the conference.

“This was one of the most physical games I’ve ever been a part of. We’re lucky that we didn’t have any major injuries. We had a few players with partial game suspensions and we were still able to come out on top. Everybody on the team participated in the game,” says head coach Ben Horner.
