Following a recent ceremony on the campus of South Georgia College, Room 123 in Collins Hall will forever bear the name of Ralph C. Moor of Atlanta. That morning, approximately 20 members of the SGC Foundation as well as SGC faculty, staff and students gathered to dedicate Collins Hall Classroom 123 in honor of Mr. Moor.

Joining Moor for the festivities were his two sons, Carl and Larry, as well as Larry’s wife, Julia, and their son, Michael. To make things even more special , Larry, Julia, and Michael are all SGC alumni.

During the ceremony, Dr. Virginia Carson shared the following, “Mr. Moor has been a dear friend to SGC and his generosity over the years has helped make a positive impact on countless students. We are delighted to have an opportunity to recognize his in this way and thank him for the important role he has played in our institution.”

At the ceremony, Moor, who will celebrate his 99th birthday in December, stated, “Even though my physical presence isn’t here anymore, my heart certainly is.”
