SGC Soccer Players Make All Conference, All Tournament Teams
In the wake of one of the best soccer seasons in South Georgia College
history, several Tigers earned post-season awards. Both the men’s and
women’s teams made the Final Four of the state playoffs, and 12 players
received All Conference or All Tournament recognition.
On the women’s team, Marcille McBean (defender) was named First Team All
Conference, while Emily Engram (defensive midfielder), Chelsea Barfield
(center mid) and Payton Leffew (forward) were named Second Team All
Conference. Ingram and Leffew also made the All Tournament team.
For the men, defender Luke Adams made First Team All Conference. Jordan
Crown (keeper), Ryan Davidson (midfield), Matheus Silva (forward) and
Emanuel Goncalves (defensive center mid) made Second Team All Conference.
This was Goncalves’s second time making the All Conference team. Defender
Nathan Lopez and defensive center midfielder Kapasa Makasa made the All
Tournament team as well.
McBean and Adams have also been nominated as All Americans.
