SGC Announces Second Annual Community Resource Fair on Aug. 18
Local businesses and community organizations are invited to attend the
Second Annual South Georgia College Community Resource Fair on Thursday,
August 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. as a part of SGC’s Week of Welcome
festivities. Each year, SGC sponsors a number of exciting activities during
the first week of fall semester. In 2010, the College added a community
resource fair to the week’s events.
The fair will be held during a campus-wide cookout, and it’s a great way for
businesses and organizations to promote their products/services, announce
any community-wide volunteer opportunities, share student discounts or
specials, and enhance student awareness of what is offered in the
Douglas-Coffee County area. Attendees would have exposure to SGC’s students
and employees on this special one-day event.
Each business or organization will be given a six-foot table to display
brochures, samples, etc. The resource fair will take place on the lawn in
front of Peterson Hall. The deadline to register is Aug. 8. Space is limited
to the first 50 vendors and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served
basis. To register, contact SGC’s Office of Advancement at (912) 260-4273 or
email advancement@sgc.edu. Please note that the college reserves the right
to decline a vendor based on SGC and USG policies. Further details about
spaces and set-up times will be shared upon receipt of registration.
