Lady Tigers Soccer Goes 1-2-1 in Stetson Tourney

The South Georgia College women’s soccer team traveled to Stetson University this past weekend to participate in an annual seven-on-seven soccer tournament. The women played well and played against very tough competition: Webber University (NAIA), Flagler College (NCAA Division II) and Stetson University (NCAA Division I). The ladies went 1-2-1 in their four games.

“We played well and hung with all of these teams,” noted Coach Ken Kirsch. “If we would have finished some opportunities, we might have won a game or two more.” The Lady Tigers played their first games since losing last fall in the first round of the playoffs. “I know the ladies were excited to finally play some games and it showed with their effort on the field,” state Coach Kirsch.

The Lady Tigers next play on Saturday, March 19, against the South Georgia United.
