SGC Swim Teams Podium at Darton

The South Georgia College swim team had another outstanding meet on Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Darton College aquatics center in Albany, placing second (men) and third (women) in a five-team meet.

Three Tigers won their individual events: Travis Jenkins placed first in the 100 meter breaststroke, Kaityln Ward won the 50 meter freestyle, and Stephanie Crews won the 400 meter individual medley relay.

The men were second to Darton (first). Other teams included Berry College (third), LaGrange College (fourth) and Gordon College (fifth). In the women’s meet, Darton came in first, Berry second, SGC third, then LaGrange (fourth) and Gordon (fifth).

The swim team will be back in action on Nov. 20 as the Tigers travel to LaGrange for the LaGrange College Invitational.
