SGC Soccer Picks Up Important Wins Over Andrew

The SGC Lady Tigers traveled to Andrew College on Sept. 14 and exploded for six goals to earn their third win of the season. The Lady Tigers had six different goal scorers in the contest. Kasie Cheney lead the way with seven shots on goal, scoring one, followed by Kadie Naumann, who notched a goal and an assist. Chelsea Waters, Tiffany Koehmstedt, and Ashley Smith scored their first goals of the season and Ashley Kramer earned her third shutout on the year registering three saves. The Lady Tigers are now 3-3 on the season tied for fourth place in the region.

The men also traveled to Andrew and torched six goals in the first half and cruised for an 8-2 win. Matt Sutton was stellar, recording four goals on six shots. Felipe Nascimento added two more goals and registered three assists in the contest. Freshmen Patrick Olschlager added a pair of assists and John Michael White scored a brilliant header to notch his first goal of the season. The Tigers are 2-2-2 on the season and 2-2 in the conference, sitting in fifth place.
