Lady Tigers Open Season With Shutout Win

The South Georgia College Lady Tigers opened the season with a 4-0 win Wednesday in a non-conference match against USC-Salkehatchie. Freshmen Kadie Naumann led the way notching a pair of goals and Jody Bethune added two of her own to complete the scoring. “We played much better in the second half and finally played at a quicker pace,” said Coach Ken Kirsch.

Marcillee McBean and Chelsea Waters anchored the defense to preserve the shutout and keeper Ashley Kramer had three saves in the contest. The Lady Tigers traveled to Gordon College on Friday to open up conference play. Results were unavailable at press time.
