FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Local runners place well at Valdosta 5K On July 24, South Georgia College cross country runners Courtlyn Fussell of Douglas and Mark McLeod of Fitzgerald both won their age groups at the Break Bread Bun Run 5K in Valdosta. The hot and hilly course is one of the most difficult 5K races in the area. In addition to winning his age group, Mark finished third overall. The SGC cross country team reports to campus on Aug. 11, with the first meet taking place on Aug. 28 at the Darton Invitational in Albany.
