SGC Baseball to Host Skills Camp
The South Georgia College baseball program is hosting a
skills camp in May and all players ages six and up are invited.
Beginning May 25, the camp will open with offensive skill work. Campers will
work on the offensive side of the game on May 25-May 27 from 1-3 p.m. From
June 1-3, the camp will focus on defensive skills. Times are also 1-3 p.m.
Instructors will be SGC head baseball coach Scott Sims and assistant coach
Jeff Timothy. They will be assisted by SGC baseball players. The offensive
camp will focus on hitting, bunting and base-running skills. In the
defensive camp, the focus will be on throwing and catching techniques as
well as individual position instruction.
Players ages six and up are encouraged to attend. The cost is $30 per
session or $50 for both. The camp will be held at George A. Cook Stadium on
the campus of South Georgia College. Campers should bring a bat, glove and
