SGC to Host Panel Discussion Regarding Sexual Orientation

Join the South Georgia College community Thursday, April 15 from 7-8:30 p.m. for a panel discussion exploring the topic of sexual orientation. The discussion will be hosted by Andrew DiNicola, director of the upcoming campus production of The Laramie Project and Assistant Professor of English, Humanities Division; and Dr. Rhonda Kelley-Heath, Moderator and Assistant Professor of English.

The discussion will represent a variety of political, social, and religious views, and the public is invited to attend and participate. Questions and comments will be taken from the audience. Panel members will reflect both liberal and conservative viewpoints, and topics include the ex-gay movement, “don’t ask, don’t tell,” gay marriage, gay adoptions, gay conservatives, gay bashing and hate crimes laws, gay acceptance in high school, and comparing the civil rights movement to the gay rights movement. The discussion will take place in Stubbs Hall, room 142.
