SGC Info Night: Applying to College Made Easy
Getting ready for college and knowing how and when to apply
can be a confusing and time consuming task. SGC wants to help! That’s why
South Georgia College is sponsoring Info Night for all area high school
seniors on Feb. 4 from 7-8 p.m. in the Engram Union Ballroom.
Representatives from, Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Life, Housing and
the Office of Advancement will be on hand to share key information about the
College and its benefits for it students. Topics ranging from how to apply
to financial aid opportunities as well as what extracurricular activities
and are available will be covered.
South Georgia College is one of the oldest institutions in the University
System of Georgia. Since its inception in 1906, SGC has opened the doors of
higher education to hundreds of thousands of students from all over the
world.
In fall 2010, the college will open its brand new, 300-bed residence hall,
Tiger Village II. The opening of Tiger Village II gives the college the
capacity to house almost 600 students on campus in modern, apartment-style
residence halls. SGC also boasts a strong academic setting where students
can receive the individual attention and resources they need in order to
succeed. SGC has a strong athletic heritage, and currently has four sports —
men’s/women’s soccer, baseball, softball and men’s/women’s cross country —
competing in the Georgia Junior College Athletic Association’s Region XVII.
The college also has plans to add golf and swimming in the 2010-2011
academic year.
So don’t miss this important event. For more information, contact the
Admissions Office at (912) 260-4206.
