Brown discusses Lean Six Sigma, efficiency strategies
at Rotary
At
a recent meeting of the Douglas Rotary Club, Wes Brown, Executive Director
of Enrollment and Information at SGC, presented a program on SGC’s efforts
to improve efficiency on campus. Wes has been at the forefront of
implementing Lean Six Sigma strategies to streamline operations throughout
the SGC community. Lean Six Sigma projects have been conducted in several
different departments on campus, with very positive results. Last academic
year, SGC received a second-place customer service award from the University
System for a Lean Six Sigma project in Admissions. This year, a project
designed to improve retention rates among students who live on campus has
been nominated for another USG award. Wes is pictured with Matt Greer and
SGC President Dr. Virginia Carson.
