SGC to host baseball camp for area youth
The South Georgia College Tigers baseball program is
planning a pair of three-day baseball camps to teach area youth ages six and
up the fundamentals of the game.
The camp will take place over two weeks. From May 26-28, the focus will be
on defensive skills: throwing, catching and position work. From June 1-3,
campers will hone their offensive skills, including hitting, bunting and
base running. The camp will begin at 1 p.m. and last until 3 p.m.
The cost is $30 per session or $50 for both sessions and is designed for
ages six and up. Campers should bring a bat, glove and baseball uniform.
Shorts are acceptable if an athlete doesn’t have a uniform.
Registration forms are due five days before the start of the camp. For more
information, please contact head coach Scott Sims at (912) 260-4220 or (912)
389-0941.
