FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SGC honors sophomores, All Region Friday morning at Jerry J’s, head coach Scott Sims recognized the SGC Tigers baseball team for the 2009 season that saw the Tigers make the post-season for the second year in a row and the fourth time in five years. Coach Sims handed out certificates to the sophomores and encouraged his team to take two out of three from Georgia Perimeter in Barnesville this weekend. The winner of the series plays in the second round next weekend in Douglas. Stuart Drew and Justin Roberts, SGC’s two All Region players, were also recognized following the breakfast.
