SGC to host jewelry, soap-making courses
Donya Longoria will be at South Georgia College next week to
host two classes designed to bring out the artist in you. The events are
sponsored by the Department of Continuing Education and will teach you how
to make jewelry and your own bath balms, bath salts and soap.
On Tuesday, March 17 and Thursday, March 19, Donya will teach the
jewelry-making class. The two-hour course begins at 6:30 p.m. in Room 201 in
Peterson Hall. The class is appropriate for ages 10 and up.
Discover your artistic ability using basic beading techniques and elements
of design. You will discover new ideas from within. There are endless
possibilities to make earrings, bracelets, or even a set. Learn to fix that
piece that you love. Let your imagination come to life!
On Saturday, March 21, Continuing Education is sponsoring a course that is
sure to help you make bath time more relaxing and enjoyable than ever. Donya
will also teach this class, which begins at 1 p.m. that Saturday.
The course will teach you how to make your own fizzy bath balms and bath
salts. They also make great gift ideas. The $39 entry fee includes all
supplies. The two-hour course ends at 3 p.m. Be sure to wear comfortable
clothes. This event will be held in Room 124 inside Peterson Hall.
For more information on either of these classes, call SGC Continuing
Education at 260-4272 or email coned@sgc.edu.
