SGC to host PiTch RiTe baseball, softball clinic
The baseball and softball programs at South Georgia College are partnering
with PiTch RiTe and a number of area baseball and softball coaches to host a
baseball/softball clinic on Feb. 14.
The clinic will take place on the SGC campus beginning at 9:30 a.m. and will
conclude at 12:30 p.m. The cost of the clinic is $25, and includes lunch and
free admission to the SGC Tigers’ baseball double-header against USC-Salkehatchie
later that afternoon.
The clinic will feature instruction utilizing the PiTch RiTe system, which
is based on using immediate muscle memory to create good habits, eliminate
bad habits at any age and refine habits without wasting good practice time.
The following coaches and instructors will assist with the clinic:
• Scott Sims -- Head baseball coach at SGC
• Vernon Hardy -- Former softball coach
• Rob Brunel -- Head softball coach at SGC
• Jim Sherrod -- DYL president/youth instructor
• Hank Aldridge -- Swainsboro/Toombs County baseball and Georgia Duguout
