Spruce up Thanksgiving with flowers
Flowers are almost as much a part of Thanksgiving as turkey and dressing.
Few things set the tone for a great Thanksgiving dinner like a beautiful
floral centerpiece.
On Thursday, Nov. 6, local florist Randy Wooten will teach a seminar on
creating your own Thanksgiving floral arrangement. You will learn basic tips
and techniques to design your own fresh flower centerpiece that you will be
able to take home and enjoy during the holidays. Materials for the course
are included in the fee.
The class takes place from 7-9 p.m. inside Peterson Hall, Room 124, on the
SGC campus. The $55 fee includes supplies.
Randy Wooten was named the Georgia State Designer of the Year for 2006. He
has passed certification to be inducted into the American Institute of
Floral Designers, where he will join an elite group of 1,300 worldwide and
one of only 19 in the state of Georgia.
For more information, call the South Georgia College Department of
Continuing Education at 260-4272.
