Salary adjustments may occur whenever the Board of Regents, our governing body, approves a new salary scale. Appropriate adjustments will be made to employees' salaries in positions affected as funds are made available to the Board of Regents from the State appropriate allocated by the Georgia Legislature. This action should not be confused with a promotion or similar action where there is a change in an employee's responsibility.
The decision to increase the employee's salary is made after considering the employee's record for the previous year as reflected in their performance evaluation. It should be stressed that salary increases are not automatic.
