Mission Statement

 

The mission of the Human Resources Department is to recruit qualified candidates and to provide quality services to the active and retired employees of South Georgia State College in order to effectively complement the institutional priorities and goals established.  The department will strive to recognize change that is necessary to provide such quality and will continue to grow to meet the demands of these changes.  The department will promote an environment of respect to the workforce of South Georgia State College and will encourage the development of this workforce in an effort to meet the educational mission of the institution.

The goal of the Human Resources Department at South Georgia State College is to support the mission of this premier institution by providing the highest quality of service in all aspects of recruitment, development, assessment, benefits and compensation to its staff and faculty.

The Human Resources Department recruits and hires all College employees, including administrative staff, full-time and part-time faculty, and non-instructional employees.  The department maintains all personnel records, coordinates the benefit administration, faculty contracts, and staff training and development opportunities.

The Human Resources Department is located on the second floor of Richey Hall at South Georgia State College in Douglas, Georgia. South Georgia State College offers an excellent benefits package including a tuition reimbursement plan.
