Working Title: Registrar

Department: Admission, Records and Research
This is responsible work in the coordination of the college’s registration function. Work involves developing registration schedules and procedures as well as compiling and analyzing registration statistics for administrative use in formulating policies. Work also involves maintaining relations with other colleges and universities to exchange student information.
· Oversees operation of the General Student, Registration & Academic History modules of the BANNER Student Information System on a day-to-day basis.
· Oversees all graduation tasks.
· Processes grade changes, courses substitutions, and updates other records as needed.
· Registers students and resolves registration problems
· Monitors Admission Committee registration restrictions, LS and CPC registration problems.
· Posts grades.
· Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
· Reports to work as scheduled by immediate supervisor.
· Considerable knowledge of clerical and administrative practices required to co-ordinate a central records system.
· Considerable knowledge of the regulations and procedures of the department to which assigned.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public.
· Ability to recognize and maintain the confidentiality of records concerning various budgetary and personnel related matters.
· Knowledge of BANNER Student Information System, Windows and a word processing program such as WordPerfect.
Supervision:
The Registrar reports to the Vice President of Student Affairs.
