Working Title: Director of Enrollment Services

This is an administrative position charged with the administration and management of all aspects of the enrollment offices for all College locations. Employee is responsible for the overall operations of the enrollment and student success offices including supervision of staff in day-to-day activities. Employee exercises independent judgment in establishing departmental policies and procedures that facilitate the recruitment, enrollment and retention operations. Position requires some travel, including occasional overnight travel and flexible work hours including occasional nights and weekends, as needed.
· Supervises all aspects of the office of enrollment services and student success
· Evaluates admissions applications and make admissions decisions consistent with Board of Regents, College and departmental guidelines
· Oversees process of transfer credit evaluation
· Oversees development of joint enrollment programs in partnership with the Vice President of Academic Affairs and school personnel
· Writes and manages recruitment and retention plan for the College
· Monitors and evaluates the recruitment and retention activities of other institutions to look for best practices that can be implemented at SGC
· Facilitates strong relationships with service area high schools and sister institutions
· Monitors and coordinates departmental mailings to prospective and current students
· Evaluates and revises application process in order to assure timely responses to admissions applications
· Evaluates and revises communication with current students to assist them in registration efforts
· Oversees and adjusts the enrollment process to ensure quality for the students
· Plans, coordinates and implements the College’s marketing and advertising programs working with the office of Executive Director of College Relations
· Oversees planning and preparations for strong orientation and visitation programs for new and prospective students including open houses
· Effectively plans for enrollment seasons and coordinate services with other essential offices
· Works closely with other college departments to facilitate customer service for all new, current and prospective students
· Manages department budget and maintain records within guidelines provided
· Maintains records and submits required reports in a timely manner
· Speaks to civic groups and other organizations as needed to promote the college
· Promotes the College at college fairs, high school events and community events as needed
· Manages Plant Their Feet program including coordination of campus visits, year-end banquets and visits to elementary school
· Develops and implements retention strategies in partnership with faculty, staff, students and Retention Task Force
· Develops and implements recruitment strategies in partnership with faculty, staff and students
· Assists in development of activities that promote retention in cooperation with Director of Student Activities
· Attends professional meetings and training workshops as required
· Conducts tours of campus for prospective students and parents
· Appoints Tiger Senators annually and coordinate their activities
· Performs others duties that advance the mission of the College, as assigned
Supervision:
The Director of Enrollment Services reports to the President.
