Job Description
Working Title: Administrative Assistant for Records
Job Classification: Office/Clerical
FLSA Exemption: Non-Exempt
Department: Admissions, Records and Research
This is responsible office work within the Office of Records. Work involves the overseeing of the Records area including processing requests regarding student records and assisting students, faculty, staff, and the general public.
· Advises students and public regarding student records.
· Processes transcript requests.
· Processes change of advisor/major forms.
· Manages student records.
· Updates information into the records system.
· Responds to telephone and mail inquiries concerning student records.
· Determines accuracy of certain documents and interpretations of these documents.
· Performs routine clerical duties.

Reports to work as scheduled by
immediate supervisor.
· Processes and sorts departmental mail.
· Supervises student assistants.
· Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
· Thorough knowledge of office practices and procedures and of office equipment including computer utilizing word and data base programs.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with institution officials, administrators, employees, and the general public.
· High school diploma required, Associate degree in Business or Computer preferred; one-two years work experience within an office environment; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Supervision:
The Administrative Assistant for Records reports to the Director of Admissions, Records, and Research.
