Position Title:

Maintenance Technician I (Job Description)

Department:

Physical Plant

Position Responsibilities:

To perform skilled manual tasks in accordance with standard trade and code practices in the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of commercial equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

·         Technical or Vocational Degree, Diploma or Certification required.

·         High School Diploma or GED required.

·         Valid driver’s license required.

·         HVAC experience required.

·         Type 1 and Type 2 Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certificate required; universal rating preferred.

·         Electrical experience desired.

·         General maintenance experience desired.

·         Physically able to do manual labor, easily climb and work from ladders, personnel lift equipment and scaffolds.

·         Able to work in crawl spaces under buildings, in attics and in utility closets.

Salary/Benefits:

Salary commensurate with training and experience plus benefits.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Thursday 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Friday 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.  (Flexible schedule when required to complete projects.)
