South Georgia College Student Handbook

Identification Cards

Student should be sure to obtain an SGC I.D. card after enrolling and cashiering. Student I.D. cards are issued upstairs in the Engram College Union. This ID card serves as a Library Card. It gives students access to materials in the library, and is the Aticket@ for validation for printing from computer workstations. The card also is used by SGC students residing on campus and for commuting students who establish a Declining Balance Account (D.B.A.) for food services. Students are required to surrender the ID card to a public safety officer or other campus officials upon request. Loss of the card should be reported immediately to the Cashier's Office. If a card is lost or stolen, a $10.00 replacement fee is assessed. It is a violation of the Code of Conduct to loan a card to someone else or to use any one else's card. Unauthorized use of cards also violates state financial transaction laws.
