Welcome to the South Georgia College Student Support Services program. Student Support Services attempts to enhance academic success by providing varied services to qualified students.

One of the TRIO programs funded by the Department of Education, Student Support Services is sponsored by the entire college community and facilitated by the program's staff.

Our goal is to provide students with the support needed to allow them to successfully complete the most difficult years of their college experience by offering academic and personal counseling, tutoring, career guidance, pre-registration assistance, cultural experiences, and transfer assistance.

Services Offered

• Academic and financial aid counseling and guidance
• Tutoring in a wide variety of subjects
• Career counseling and testing to aid in the selection of the best career choice
• Field trips throughout the state of Georgia, such as art exhibits, college tours, dramatic presentations, museums, etc.
• Personal counseling and personality testing to assist with individual goals
• Transfer assistance which includes advisement when completing admissions and financial aid applications, presentations by representatives of four-year institutions, transfer programs, campus tours via the World Wide Web, etc.
• Use of the Student Support Services Mini Computer Center
