Hawks Move In Day Information

We are looking forward to having you here at the Douglas Campus of South Georgia State College for the 2019-20 Academic Year!

Move-In Day is Saturday, August 10th from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. beginning in Engram Hall first floor check in table.  Please remember, your account with the College must be paid in full before you can move in.  If you have any doubt if your account is covered in full, you should check your balance online by clicking here. You may contact the SGSC Business Office before Saturday (and remember, the College closes every Friday at 12 noon) at (912) 260-4243.

Move-In Day is Saturday, August 10th from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

  1. Check In, Pay Your Balance: Your starting point is Engram Hall (where Admissions, Financial Aid, etc. are located).  When you enter the Engram Hall lobby, please stop by the Check-In table first.  Your account with the College must be paid in full before you can move in.  A staff member from the Business Office will be there to make sure you are okay to move in. Get steps on viewing your account balance by clicking here.
  2. Rooms Keys, Parking Decals: Once you are cleared to move in by the Business Office, you will head upstairs to complete paperwork, pick up your room key, get a decal for your vehicle (if applicable), and get your ID made. If you need to see Financial Aid, Admissions, the Cashier and/or the Registrar upon your arrival to campus, those offices will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Move-In Day.  The Bookstore will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
  3.  Moving Your Belongings: If space permits, you may pull up in front of Tiger I or II (please do not block anyone & do not park on the grass) and then move your car to the parking lot once you unload.  We have a limited number of carts to help you roll your belongings to your apartment, so if you have a cart/dolly at home, you may wish to bring it with you.  You will need to stop by the Tiger I or II Front Desk to get your new SGSC ID Card encoded for your apartment.
  4. Have Dinner: Evening dinner on Saturday will be the first meal served for the semester.  Family members can pay at the door if they wish to eat with you.

Look for Week of Welcome (W.O.W.) flyers posted in Tiger I and II to find out what is happening on campus the first week!
