Life Long Learning Programs
South Georgia College knows how to bring out the best in every student, whether you are looking for career advancement, making a career change or just taking courses for the pure enjoyment of learning.
The Division of Continuing Education and Public Service strives to meet the educational needs of our non-credit students through a variety of personal development and enrichment courses, week-long educational and recreational activities and summer camps. Our programs are designed for students of all ages whether the programs are summer camps for children and teenagers, enrichment courses for adults or week-long programs for members of our Prime Time Institute. We are also available to help plan events using our spacious conference facilities and on-campus catering services.
Summer Camps
Tiger Summer camps are designed to offer children and teens an opportunity to engage in fun and challenging activities that will develop their minds, creativity and physical health. Plan a fun-filled summer by registering for our summer camps today!
Prime Time Institute
Our week-long educational and recreational activities are for our Prime Time students. These programs are held on and off-campus and include Elderhostel® (www.elderhostel.org) and Learning & Leisure. South Georgia College currently has four Elderhostel sites. Our Georgia locations are Jekyll Island and our on-campus program in Douglas. Our South Carolina locations include Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head. We offer a variety of programs among our four locations from golf and tennis to art to jazz and many subjects in between. You’re sure to find something of interest to you in our course offerings. Our Learning & Leisure programs are college sponsored and are currently held at our campus location in Douglas and on Jekyll Island, Georgia, with plans to expand to other locations.
Meeting and Conference Services
South Georgia College values its role as a community resource. The Division of Continuing Education and Public Service provides state-of-the-art conference services. Whether you need a meeting room for 10 people or 200 people we can accommodate your group. Our auditoriums can accommodate groups as small 25 people or as many as 470 people. We are also able to provide your meeting with catering services from coffee and muffins to a full banquet or sit down dining experience.
