Mission Statement

The mission of the South Georgia College Foundation (SGCF) is to help transform and enhance the lives of our diverse student population by providing educational opportunities, financial support, and advocacy for our students. By generating, processing and allocating gifts, the Foundation supports efforts that enhance the quality of programs by funding scholarships, new academic initiatives, technology, endowments, faculty/staff development, athletic programs, and capital projects at SGC.

The Foundation’s efforts are currently focused with these primary objectives:

To raise funds for sufficient scholarship support to make sure no student is denied a South Georgia College education for financial reasons.

To actively seek additional endowed scholarships that provide a continued scholarship plan for the future through the establishment of additional endowments.

To provide a South Georgia College Scholarship Fund for the “Plant Their Feet Program” guaranteeing children hope for the future.

To assure the experience of intercollegiate athletics for future generations of students attending South Georgia College through the establishment of athletic endowments.
