The first persons you are likely to see upon entering the library are the library work study students and library staff at the Circulation Desk. If you need assistance to find information in the library, ask someone at this desk. You need to present your library card here to check out library materials. Your library card is your student ID card issued to you by Student Services.
It is important for you to use your student ID number to access your personal library account online. From your personal "My Account" screen, you can view the due date of library materials you check out at the Circulation Desk, view the status of any books you request from other University System of Georgia libraries, renew items before they reach overdue status, and access the GALILEO password. You will need the GALILEO password, when you are off campus, to retrieve information from the GALILEO databases.
The Reserve Collection is located at the Circulation Desk. Some instructors place items for your use on reserve. Items may be checked out for 2-hour loan periods for use in the library or overnight. Items may be checked out again if no one else is waiting to borrow the same item.
