The Associate of Applied Science degree program is designed for those who desire a college–level general education as well as specific career preparation in a certain occupation. This program is designed to prepare students for entry–level work immediately after completion. The A.A.S. program is directly related to the student’s career choice and contains a mixture of general education and career-specific courses. All of the general education courses and some of the career-specific courses are transferable to four-year institutions in the University System of Georgia.
