ASSOCIATE OF APPLIED SCIENCE IN BUSINESS: GENERAL BUSINESS OPTION

Students who earn the Associate of Applied Science degree in Business:  General Business Option learn the planning, organizing, and controlling functions in a business, including organizational and human aspects, with emphasis on various theories of management, the knowledge and understanding necessary for managing people and functions, and decision making.  Potential occupations associated with this degree are operation of self‑owned business, mid‑management responsibilities for personnel, bookkeeping and operations, work related to specialized management training, inventory management, production supervision, and quality control.  Academic advisement for this program is provided by the Division of Business/Social Sciences.
