Regents' Testing Program
Students must register for the Regents' Testing Program at the time they
register for classes. First-time examinees must take both the essay and
reading components of the test. Students who have earned 45 college-level
semester credit hours and who have not passed the Regents' Test must take
the appropriate non-degree credit course(s) in remedial reading and/or
remedial writing in each semester of attendance until they have passed all
components of the Test. They should enroll for testing by entering the
following course sort numbers on the registration form:
50054 RTPE Regents' Test Essay/Benson 1:00 July 1, 2008 50055 RTPE Regents' Test Essay/Benson 6:00 July 1, 2008 50056 RTPR Regents' Test Reading/Benson 1:00 July 1, 2008 50057 RTPR Regents' Test Reading/Benson 6:00 July 1, 2008 Students who are repeating the test(s) must enroll for testing and must also register for the course(s) they need (RGTE 0199 and/or RGTR 0198). Any student unsure about RTP status should consult Duane Benson, Interim Chair of the Division of Humanities/Learning Support or his Administrative Assistant, Ms. Regina Gail located in Davis Hall.
