BUSA 2105 Business Communications
This course helps fulfill the Area F elective requirements in the Business
Administration degree program and gives these students an alternative to
completing the elective requirement in the spring with BUSA 2270 (Legal
Environment of Business). It also helps you complete the schedules of Business
Administration majors at a time when it may be difficult to find other open
courses on the schedule to take.

MATH 1001 vs MATH 1111
The Math Committee would like those of you enrolling students for the fall
semester to encourage students to enroll in Math 1001: Quantitative Skills &
Reasoning. The course title is horrible, but this class is designed for
non-science majors and involves more “real-life” math that will better serve
students in non-scientific careers.
Unless a student is majoring in one of the majors listed below, please enroll
them into a Math 1001 section.
List of majors who should NOT be enrolled into Math 1001 (These listed majors
should be enrolled into Math 1111)
Biology
Chemistry
Physics

Logistics
SGC faculty and staff:
As you prepare to advise students, please keep in mind our newly-approved
Associates of Science in Logistics degree program. As you can see from the
attached statistical data, just out, the field of logistics is one of the few
professions that seem almost “recession-proof.” Since few of our students know
about this program, we will do them a great service if we communicate this
information, specially to the business majors whom we see.
May I suggest that you print some copies of the attached “program of study” and
provide copies to any interested students?
Thanks,
Rick
