Special Regents’ Test Administration

The Regents’ Test will be administered on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. and at 2:00 p.m. in Peabody Auditorium, Kilpatrick Education Center on the Georgia College & State University campus in Milledgeville, Georgia. (The building is on the corner of N. Wilkinson and W. Montgomery Streets. It doesn’t have a street address, but if you use 201 W. Montgomery Street in Mapquest or other mapping program, you will be very close to the building.)

You must receive approval from the Regents’ Test Coordinator (Mr. Duane Benson, in Davis Hall, room 105; phone 912.260.4298) at your institution to be eligible for the test. The registration deadline is December 2 (December 10 for graduating students who are retesting).

The cost of this special administration is $50. The fee may be paid by check or money order made payable to GCSU and will be collected at check-in for the test session.

You must bring 2 forms of photo ID, one of which must be a current government-issued ID (driver's license, state or federal ID card, or passport). The second photo ID can be a current student ID or a current employee ID. Students without proper ID will not be admitted. You will also need sharpened #2 pencils and, if you are taking the essay test, a black ink pen. You may use a printed or electronic dictionary during the last 15 minutes of the essay test if you bring one to the test administration. It must be clearly labeled as a dictionary or spelling checker. It may contain a thesaurus, but a stand-alone thesaurus is not acceptable.

You must use the SGC school code (28) and your SGC ID number (starting with 928…) on the testing forms. Please do not forget these numbers.

You should allow approximately 2.5 hours if you are taking both the reading and essay tests. You should allow approximately 1.5 hours if you are taking only one test. Your test score will be sent to your home institution within 7 working days after the administration.

Parking is permitted on the street or in any of the lots around Kilpatrick on the weekend (parking map: http://www.gcsu.edu/studentlife/parkingmaps.htm).
