Message from the Foundation

Dear Friends & Visitors of South Georgia College:

As an alumna of South Georgia College, I am very proud to serve as President for 2011-2012. I am even more excited about SGC’s designation as a State College of the University System of Georgia and our ability to now offer a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

As a four-year residential institution, SGC offers a quality and affordable education with a complete college experience, including top-notch athletic programs, a full array of student life activities and impressive cultural events. Now in its 40th year of support for the College, the SGC Foundation has helped grow this campus through numerous capital projects that have further enhanced the aesthetic beauty of South Georgia College. The most recent example of this investment is the August opening of a renovated and expanded dining hall, which provided our students with a new state-of-the-art place in which to enjoy their on-campus dining experience.

As funding from the state level continues to decline, it is more important than ever to seek private support to help ensure that our institution remains strong and viable.
